What I Like About
You- the American TV sitcom
The American
Television sitcom that caught the attraction of thousands of audience
was the series “What I Like About You”. The WB television network
broadcasted the series for five years. The series was started in
September 20, 2002 and continued till March 24, 2006. The total
numbers of episodes were 86. The series was set mainly in New York
City. The story was related to the loving and caring of two sisters
Valerie Tyler (played by Jennie Garth) and Holly Tyler (played by
Amanda Bynes). “What I Like About You” became the headline of
Friday nights comedy lineups.
After cancelation of
the show the home channel of New York, the WB started broadcasting
the recaps alongside the Reba. Nowadays the show ii telecasted by ABC
family on the weekdays. On January 1, 2009 again the series began to
broadcast in The N. it is seen in the week nights. The TeenNick
started telecasting it from February 2, 2010.
The series stared
with the two sisters featuring Valerie Tyler (played by Jennie
Garth), the elder sister who was very much organized and also very
controlled type and her younger sister was Holly Tyler (played by
Amanda Bynes), who was just opposite of Val. She was totally careless
and unruly type teenager. Her father got a new job in Japan and
wanted her to come and stay with him. But Holly refused to go Japan
and packed her luggage and went to her elder sister’s house in New
York. The two sisters were just not only sisters but also good
friends. They also had lot of loyal friends. The story started
showing their loving bonding.
Some of the physical
comedies were featured by Amanda Bynes in the earlier episodes. But
later they were deemphasized.
In the first season
the episodes the references of previous episodes were used frequently
but later in the starting of second season most of the episodes were
made independent and the storylines were some kind of that they could
be understood by any one by starting from any episodes just like the
popular TV show Friends. It was the best part of the sories.
